Opposition Wants SWRHA Retirees Given Gratuity Payments

The Opposition describes as unacceptable and insensitive reports two hundred retired workers of the South-West Regional Health Authority are still waiting on their gratuity payments as much as four entire years after they have retired.

It says these workers provided critical service to the nation’s healthcare sector.

UNC says this development comes at a time when one considers the challenging financial constraints of retirees , who like the rest of the nation, have been burdened by rising cost of living, rising medical costs and of late, higher risks of being victims of criminal acts.
