One Opposition member is calling on the Prime Minister to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths of people due to Covid 19 in the past three years.
Dr Tim Gopeesingh says the Seemungal Report laid in Parliament this year reveal the presence of criminal negligence.
Speaking at the United National Congress weekly media conference on Sunday, Gopeesingh said that in just one night nineteen people died at one of the Covid Hospitals due to a lack of oxygen.
He said that the promise of a financial reward for hospital frontline workers during the Covid pandemic is simply a political gimmic.
He says the Government should focus on compensating families who lost loved ones to Covid 19.
He also made a concerning allegation which he says needs to be investigated.
