Cyclone Fiona strengthened to a hurricane over the weekend

Tropical Cyclone Fiona strengthened to a hurricane over the weekend and it continues to influence the wind flow over the region causing a perturbation to the east of the Leeward Islands and drawing converging equatorial moisture across Trinidad and Tobago.

The forecast is for partly cloudy conditions becoming cloudy at times with light to moderate showers and the chance of heavy showers/isolated thunderstorms.
These conditions are expected to occur over the next couple of days as there can be some enhancement by an approaching tropical wave to our east.

In the event of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, be on the lookout for street or flash flooding and winds can become gusty in the vicinity.
