Opposition MP Claims Central Air Conditioning At Point Fortin Hospital Not Working

An Opposition Member of Parliament claims he was reliably informed the central air conditioning at the Point Fortin Hospital has not been working for over a month now.

MP for Oropouche West, Dave Tancoo, alleges this malfunction of the air conditioning system has affected the entire hospital including departments such as Administration, X-Ray, Ultrasound, and also the Operating Theatres.

Mr Tancoo says he has been reliably informed patients and staff has complained to management for over a month citing the hazards of these obviously unsafe conditions but no response has been forthcoming.

He is calling on Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, to provide an immediate response to these reports as the hospital serves the Southern peninsula of over 100,000 citizens and residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
