Onlyfans to potentially step away from adult content’ to attract more advertisers

Gone are the days of making millions on OnlyFans as the platform could be stepping away and banning adult content altogether in a bid to get more advertisers.

The popular site currently has 120 million users who sign up for a monthly subscription of content from their chosen creators. The new move could take OnlyFans to a more mainstream level and remove the sexual content.

To make an account you have to 18 or over, however, the founder Tim Stokely said that this is purely for payment purposes.

He did tellGQ that because of the age restriction, the site has been able to “have more progressive and liberal content policies than other social media platforms.”

In addition, the site also wants to create a larger celebrity base with more athletes who can connect with their fans on the platform.
