One suspect killed two detained following an abduction and robbery at Massy, La Romain

Two suspects have been detained after they attempted to abduct a female Massy Stores manager last night.

The incident took place while the woman was headed north along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway.

Reports are that the woman, who is the manager as Massy’s La Romain branch, was trailed by a white SUV with what appeared to be police lights.
The woman pulled over in the vicinity of the Petrotrin pond Gasparillo and three men in police uniform exited and approached her car.
The suspects then forced her into the backseat of her Tiida hatchback vehicle with two men on both sides, and one driving.

They took her back to her workplace at Massy, La Romaine and asked her to open the doors and the vault.

The men robbed the establishment of a large undisclosed sum of money and then fled the scene, leaving the manageress behind.

The police were alerted and and all points bulletin was issued.

Officers intercepted the Tiida on the Golconda overpass where there was a shoot out. One suspect was shot and taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Two others jumped off the overpass, headed for the bushes leading to the Cipero river.

Police recovered one high powered rifle and several spent shells at the scene.

A fourth suspect was detained overnight while seated in a white b14 in the vicinity of Laing, Retrench Village, likely waiting on the other two to exit the river which runs nearby.
Then, at around 4a.m., another suspect was held by officers as he exited bushes in Duncan Village.

The two detained suspects are said to be from the Central area.
