Nurses taking their grouses to the streets on Friday

Nurses attached to the Trinidad and Tobago Registered Nurses Association (TTRNA) are expected to take to the streets this Friday as they seek better conditions.

Members will gather at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital at 9am, following which they will then walk through the streets of the city.

President Idi Stuart says they will then assemble at the Ministry of Health at Park Street to voice their concerns.

According to Stuart, this country’s public health care system has “several shortcomings,” including staffing inadequacies and what he described as an unregulated ambulance service.
