No Lotto, No Play Whe – NLCB shuts down gaming until further notice

Chairman of the National Lotteries Control Board, Eustace Nancis has suspended all Lotto machines across the country until further notice.

This means that there should be no Lotto Plus, Play Whe, or Cash Pot betting taking place, although izzso has received information of a number of Lotto booths being opened in the Eastern parts of the country.

NLCB was listed under essential services under the Public Health Regulations, Legal notice from the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs office, on April 30 and May 12.

However, the new legal notice after the announcement of the State of Emergency, did not list NLCB under essential services.

Nancis said they received the directive to shut down games as of midnight on Sunday and the NLCB is fully complying by the new regulations.

Closure of Lotto booths not only affects gamblers, but the payment of bills and the purchase of Bmobile and Digicel phone cards.
