The National Gas Company funding of $244 million towards Atlantic LNG Train One, this year, was for a turn around to ensure it was in a state of readiness and safe to operate and accept gas for processing.
The funding was not for upgrade Train One.
Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young, informed the Senate of the development on Tuesday.
Minister Young was asked by the Opposition, given the upgrade of Atlantic LNG‘s Train One by the National Gas Company, to advise the driving economic and financial factors that informed NGC’s decision to upgrade Train One; and the amount spent to date by NGC on said upgrade?
