As of September 25th this year 1,482 persons have tested positive for the COVID-19 Delta variant in Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, informed the Senate of the development during the question and answer segment on Tuesday afternoon.
Opposition Senator, Jayanti Lutchmedial, wanted to know what criteria are being used to test positive COVID-19 samples for the Delta variant?
Minister Deyalsingh said the criteria include all persons locally having entered or belonging to migrant populations with a positive Covid-19 test result and all repatriated persons arriving with a positive test result.
