National Security Minister: No Directive Given To Copa Airlines To Bar Travel Of Chilean Hockey Team

Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, says he is not aware a directive was given by any authorized government official to Copa Airlines in Chile that the National Junior Hockey Team of Chile should not be allowed to travel to Trinidad and Tobago because their PCR test reports were in Spanish.

Minister Hinds made the revelation during the question and answer period in the Senate Tuesday afternoon.

A question on the subject was put forward by Opposition Senator, David Nakhid.

Minister Hinds then informed the Senate of the instructions which are in place when a person uses the TT Travel Pass and showed the linked it had to the question raised.
