Consumers’ pockets are much lighter coming out of the Covid -19 pandemic but there is the view from the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago Monday’s national budget will bring some level of relief.
The assessment comes from President of the SATT, Rajiv Diptee, during an interview with Power 102 Digital.
Mr Diptee says there are elements which were outlined in the budget relating to the food prices situation that showed government’s attempts to solve it.
Mr Diptee also spoke about the presentation of another deficit budget and the challenges faced by the government to navigate its way through this period.
