Two murders in separate incidents last night have taken the murder toll for the year thus far to 105.
Reports state that around 7pm, a woman identified as Nylah Nelson was shot by gunmen at her 8th Avenue, Malick, Barataria home.
Reports are that gunmen stormed into her home and shot her and a male.
The man is said to be warded at hospital.
In the second incident. which occurred around 9pm, 31-year-old Joel Benjamin of Maloney Street, Petit Bourg was shot and killed while seated in his parked silver coloured Nissan Primera at Germain Avenue, Upper Irving Street, Petit Bourg.
Police are engaged in investigating both matters.
