Former head of the Public Service, Reginald Dumas, believes Tracy Davidson-Celestine should consider resigning as leader of the People’s National Movement Tobago Council.
He is of the view that the PNM suffered at the polls in Tobago due to the zip line controversy, which was raised by the PDP.
He said this was a factor in the way people voted, as it raised the question of transparency within the THA, especially at it related to the $2.5 million expenditure for this non-existent zip line project.
Dumas also stated that Davidson-Celestine is not as well liked as outgoing Chief Secretary Ancil Dennis.
He said “Tracy puts people off” and “the people of Tobago had become a little weary of what they consider to be the high-handed attitude of the PNM towards them and they reacted accordingly.”
