Prime Minister Rowley travels to Guyana

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley will travel to Guyana on Monday 13th February, 2023, where he will participate in Guyana’s International Energy Conference and Expo.
The Conference is scheduled to begin tomorrow, Tuesday 14th February, 2023.
The theme of the event is “Harnessing Energy for Development”, and it aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas, propositions, and plans for fundamental advances in the energy sector. Dr Rowley is expected to deliver an address at the conference. He is among several regional leaders who will attend the event.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young.
On Wednesday 15th February, 2023, Prime Minister Rowley will travel to The Bahamas to attend the Forty-Fourth (44th) Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
The meeting will be held under the Chairmanship of the Prime Minister of The Bahamas, the Hon. Philip Davis.
The meeting will focus on several issues including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy, Climate Change, including Climate Finance, Agriculture and Food Security, Security, and Health.
Several foreign guests including Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada will also be in attendance to discuss important matters relevant to the CARICOM Community.
Minister of Finance the Hon. Colm Imbert will act as Prime Minister until Dr Rowley’s return.
