Moonilal: Nationals facing difficulties travelling to countries with vaccine bans

With a number of countries imposing bans on travellers with certain brands of vaccines, Opposition MP, Dr Roodal Moonilal, is now calling on the government to assist T&T travellers who are considering visiting these territories.

Countries like Canada are not accepting the Sinopharm vaccine used en masse in T&T and Moonilal noted it would be difficult for T&T travellers to enter such places.

Speaking at Monday night’s UNC Forum, Moonilal pointed out that Bangladesh has also banned T&T travellers and he is calling for regional and international diplomacy to ensure nationals can visit such countries without problems.

Moonilal who stated that T&T has the lowest vaccination rate regionally and called on Government to “start early o’clock” to source the next set of vaccinations for third booster shots which will be needed by the public.
