Finance Minister Colm Imbert has shared the complete list of VAT-free foods.
From Monday, 1st November, Value Added Tax (VAT) will be removed from certain basic food items.
In his release on Saturday, Imbert noted that the items in the list are in addition to the items that have been VAT-free since 2016.
The Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT) in a statement on Friday assured that establishments are working to ensure that these price adjustments are effected in time to reflect those changes come Monday.
