Man U earns win over Trini defender’s team in Europa League

It was a game of opposites for Manchester United players yesterday as recently maligned Cristiano Ronaldo marked his return to the team with his 701st career goal while the recently outstanding Antony was substituted at half time after some pointless trickery.

Ronaldo scored Man U’s third goal as they earned a 3-nil victory over Trinidadian defender Keston Julien’s Sherrif Tiraspol.

Antony had a different ending however as he entertained the home fans by producing a 720-degree spin with the ball stuck to his left foot but kicked the ball out of play with his next move.

Manager Erik Ten hag looked visibly disappointed and hauled off the Brazilian at half time.
