A 20-year-old man was shot and killed in Wallerfield, Arima on Wednesday night.
Abel Roberts was walking at the corner of Peters Avenue and Matura Road around 8 p.m. when he was ambushed and shot by a suspect.
Roberts fell to the ground but was taken to the Arima District Hospital by relatives where he was declared dead minutes later.
He was shot in the back, right shoulder, and left thigh.
This is the second murder in the area within 24 hours. Reports state that a man identified as Randy Peters was also shot dead while walking along Peters Avenue.
