Local Government Ministry Launches Cleanup Campaign, #WeCleanTT

As the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government launches a national clean-up and rainy season preparedness campaign, WeCleanTT, recently installed Minister Faris Al Rawi is seeking to highlight the importance of such a venture.

The WeCleanTT campaign, which will span across Trinidad and Tobago, is geared towards cleaning and assessing the conditions of the country’s roadways, embankments, vacant lots, recreational grounds and markets among other areas as well as the removal of derelict vehicles.

Speaking on Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show on Tuesday, Minister Al Rawi shared that the campaign will also serve as a surveying exercise to commence data driven action on road repairs and maintenance.

The first stop of the campaign is Diego Martin Regional Corporation on Sat April 23rd and Sun April 24th, Minister Al Rawi urged the participation of residents.

Residents are asked to send photos and pin locations of old appliances, derelict cars, tree cuttings and other debris in their community, via whats-app only to 707-9122 / 707- 9130
