“We came from poverty and my brother never turned his back on those in the same situation” that was the statement made by brother of Basdeo Panday, Subash.
During his contribution this morning, Subash explained that his family was poor and this almost put a spoke in the wheel of Basdeo’s secular education.
He said that ultimately it was their family’s humble financial position that would factor in to Panday’s decision to be the voice of the workers.
He said that helping the poor became the most important thing in his life even in death.
