Listen: Fuad Khan expresses shock at five-year-old locked in car

Dr Fuad Khan has expressed shock with the incident involving a five-year-old girl who suffered traumatic injuries after she was locked in a hot car with little to no ventilation.

The girl remains in critical condition at hospital.

She was found locked in the vehicle by her mother after a relative left her there.

The mother found her child unconscious, covered in vomit and urine in the car.

She was rushed to hospital for immediate medical attention.

Speaking with News Power Now Dr Khan said that it would only take between twenty and thirty minutes locked in a hot vehicle with little ventilation for a child to suffer severely damaging effects.

He said not even animals should be locked in a hot car.

Dr Khan also commented on the long lasting effects that would result from injuries in such a situation.
