In 2024 the population can expect the full proclamation of legislation which governs digital transformation in Trinidad and Tobago.
Within six to eight months three sections of the Electronic Transactions Act part six, eight and ten are scheduled to be proclaimed.
This is disclosed by Executive Legal Advisor ICT, Ministry of Digital Transformation, Rudyard Davidson.
He was speaking during a Joint Select Committee Finance and Legal Affairs meeting on Friday.
Mr Davidson said part six of the act deals with intermediaries and telecommunications providers, part eight focuses on deals with online consumer protection and part ten which addresses miscellaneous provisions.
