Manager of the Trinidad and Tobago Heart Foundation, Amit Maraj, reveals many persons with cardiovascular diseases have experienced long waiting times to get tests done through public hospitals.
He made the comments at the Joint Select Committee on Social Services and Public Administration this week.
Maraj said this situation has resulted in some persons deciding to get treatment from private institutions.
