The lessons learnt from Covid-19 must not be forgotten or taken for granted.
This suggestion comes from virologist, Dr Christopher Oura.
Speaking during an interview on Power 102 Digital on Monday, Dr Oura reflected on deforestation and its implications which can arise from it.
Dr Oura made the comment in the context of animal transmission of viruses to humans adding Covid-19 has cost many governments millions of dollars.
He said going back to how things used to be before Covid-19 is a not a good position to adopt as it could have devastating effects globally.
Dr Oura said the political will must be demonstrated to do what is required to address this issue and keep it as a priority topic even as governments to other affairs in governing their country.
