Laventille man dies after being struck by car along EMR

Investigations are underway into a vehicular accident which claimed the life of a Laventille man.

Sheldon Lousion, 35, was struck by a van along the Eastern Main Road in Laventille around 4pm on Tuesday.

Reports state that he stumbled into the road.

He was declared dead shortly after arrival at the Port of Spain General Hospital.

The vehicle involved was subsequently wrecked and taken to the Besson Street Police Station. Investigations are continuing into the incident.
