Labour Minister: It’s Imperative Trade Unions Return To NTAC

Labour representatives are being urged to return to the social dialogue table.

The appeal comes from the Minister of Labour, Stephen Mc Clashie.

It was made in his Labour Day Address ahead of Sunday’s observance.

The labour movement has dropped out of the National Tripartite Advisory Council in the past.

NTAC is made of officials from government, business and labour.

Minister Mc Clashie appealed to the labour representatives to return to the process and cited the significance of such a move.

Minister Mc Clashie said there are many benefits from working together, one of which will result in industrial peace in Trinidad and Tobago.
