Hinds: Three known gangsters turned up for police recruitment

Three known gangsters, who were among the many persons who turned up at the Police Academy St James last Saturday and in San Fernando, were taken out of the recruitment process.

Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, said at present there are 159 recruits at the police training college.

This year, 1,000 police officers will be added the man power of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.

He made the comments while speaking at the People’s National Movement public meeting in San Juan on Thursday night.

Hinds said the public will be asked to submit information to the authorities if they have credible data on individuals who are seeking to be recruited into the TTPS.
