Health Ministry: Voluntary Recall Of Artificial Tears Lubricant Eye Drops

Possible contamination is cited as the reason for the voluntary recall of the Artificial Tears Lubricant Eye Drops by the Ministry of Health, via its Chemistry, Food and Drug Division.

The Ministry says while this product is not registered for use in Trinidad and Tobago, out of an abundance of caution, it advises persons who may be in possession of any of the recalled formulas to discontinue use immediately and to return the product to the place of purchase where possible.

The Ministry says to date; there have been over fifty reports of adverse events including eye infections and permanent loss of vision.
