A hazardous seas alert, yellow level is in effect.
It will impact on mainly northern and north-eastern exposed coastal areas of Trinidad and Tobago
The alert is scheduled to come to an end at 2pm on Saturday.
Northerly long period swells are expected to affect coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago.
These swells can result in battering waves at coastal regions which can be exacerbated during high tides.
Nearshore activities including fishing, sea bathing and small craft mooring can be adversely affected.
All marine interests should monitor sea conditions and exercise caution along affected areas.
Limit marine activities where possible.
