Haynes: Gov’t must show value for money with allocation for Education in Budget

The Government must show value for money in the Education sector and and monies allotted to the sector must be properly accounted for.

This comment comes from the Shadow Education Minister UNC MP Anita Haynes who told News Power Now this morning that more must be done with the money that the Education Ministry receives in the Budget.

She said that there has been a shortfall where programs are concerned that could help both students and teachers, programs according to her that was discontinued by the PNM Government that they have now restarted under a new name.

She said one of the most pressing issue facing schools now that must immediately addressed are structural problems.
