Gary Griffith admits it has been tough on his family with repeated criticism and death threats coming his way.
Mr Griffith said in spite of the verbal attacks he appreciate the support his family would have given to him over the years.
However, Mr Griffith said his loved ones were able to endure the negativity which has come their way and stay focus and positive.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital Friday, Mr Griffith said he also has received strong spiritual support from members of his family and other individuals.
