Minister of Local Government, Faris Al Rawi, confirms the government is awaiting the reply of the Director of Public Prosecutions on the reasons for the decision to discontinue the prosecution of the Piarco 3 Court matter in relation to corruption in the construction of the Piarco International Airport.
Mr Al Rawi said he wrote to the DPP on May 2nd this year on the issue and on the same day the DPP acknowledged receipt of the letter.
However, he is yet to get a response from the Office of the DPP.
