Tobago man arrested for possession of firearm, ammo

Officers of Tobago Divisional Task Force arrested one man for being in possession of a firearm, ammunition, and marijuana during an anti-crime exercise conducted in Scarborough on the 10th November, 2020.

During the exercise, officers observed a 39-year-old man crossing the street with a pistol in his hand. He was stopped and searched and the firearm seized. An additional search was conducted and 42 grammes of marijuana was allegedly found.

A search warrant was obtained and a further search was conducted at the apartment of the accused at Mt Pelier, Scarborough, where it was alleged that 92 grammes of marijuana was found and seized.

The vehicle of the accused was also searched and a further 128 grammes of marijuana was allegedly found and seized.

The exercise was supervised by Snr. Supt Garvin Simon and conducted by Sgt George.
Investigations are continuing.
