Government Pin Points Measures To Help Stimulate Economy

Government has pin pointed several measures which will help stimulate the economy.

The plans were disclosed in the Senate during the Budget Debate by Minister of Public Administration, Allyson West.

These steps include tax rate reduction on deep water petroleum profits tax, tax exemption period for small companies, electronic payment providers and manufacturers in tax credit.

Minister West is confident these measures will go a long way in providing renewed momentum in the economy.

Minister West cited the reduction and not removal of the gas subsidy by the government, adding protection of the vulnerable is still high on the government’s agenda.
