The Government is out of touch.
They understand the difficulties facing the public but have their own agenda are willing to pursue it regardless of the consequences.
This is the belief of political analyst Dr Bishnu Ragoonath.
He made the point while speaking this morning on Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show.
Referencing comments by Trade Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon regarding the efficiency of the PTSC, he added that the Government is being told what it wants to hear by its advisers.
He added that the PNM officials who have made the controversial comments within the last week in defence of the budget, are being directed to adhere to certain talking points.
Dr Ragoonath said the politicians are clearly not aware of how ordinary people live and questioned when they would realize that they are not living the lifestyle of the average man.
