Government And Opposition Can Hold Crime Talks Without Me Says The Prime Minister

The Prime Minister says even though he is not a part of the four cabinet members chosen to meet with the opposition to discuss matters on crime, he remains confident the deliberation can still proceed.

Speaking at the weekly post cabinet news briefing at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s Thursday, Dr Keith Rowley said the Attorney General will be the convener of the meeting and the government is focused on finding common ground on this important issue.

Dr Rowley said this is not a personal matter but one of state business and the public’s interest must be placed first.
