Former Anglican Bishop Rawle Ernest Douglin has died

Former Anglican Bishop Rawle Ernest Douglin has passed away.

Douglin died on Thursday at the age of 90.

He was this country’s 10th Bishop in Office serving from 1993 – 2001.

According to the Anglican Church, Bishop Douglin was ordained in 1960 and began his ecclesiastical career with a curacy at All Saints Port of Spain.

“After this, he served incumbencies at St. Stephen, Princes’ Town. The Good Shepherd, Tunapuna and All Saints’ Church, Newtown. Later he was Dean of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Port of Spain[3] before his elevation to the Episcopate in 1992, serving for nine years,” the Church said on its website.
