Five months is the timeline given by the Ministry of Works and Transport for the completion of permanent works on the Manzanilla Road.
On Friday works commenced.
The Ministry says the project entails reconstruction of the collapsed road spanning about 1.6km within the 5km segment of the roadway along the Manzanilla Mayaro Road.
The project will include: raising of the existing roadway, installation of culverts at strategic locations, installation of flap gates, and improved drainage.
