Since its cancellation in 2016, the annual Fire Fete has been for some time trying to regain its footing as one of the country’s top Carnival fetes.
The Trinidad and Tobago Fire Services in collaboration with CORE (Creators of Real Events) committee sure did put on a stella display of both new and up coming artiste and some of the Caribbean’s well seasoned acts.
With tickets giving patrons access to Cabanas, VIP and General fete goers were given the option to party in any section of their choice, with or without coolers.
With what seemed to be slow start turned out to be an epic night filled with back to back performances and surprises.
Nessa Preppy’s set was cut short due to technical issues with the live band, Mr. Renzo re-sang Bunji Garlin’s ‘Hard Fete’ in Spanish which instantly flattened the venue, Flag Crews were in full glory and hosts Whitney Husbands and Supa Hype carried the night smoothly on stage.
After Saturday’s showcase, Fire Fest may soon regain its title as one of the country’s top contenders for ‘D People’s Fete’.
