It is not considered appropriate to publish at this time or at all, the report into the explosion that took place in April 2021 on the Niquan compound, until the legal implications of doing so are carefully examined.
Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young, made the revelation during the question and answer period in the parliament on Friday.
Minister Young said it is necessary for all concerned to be given a proper opportunity to review and respond to the many findings of the report and recommendations of the investigative team and to take the appropriate action.
The members of the investigative team were also revealed by Minister Young as he added that Niquan, the Fire Service and the Occupational Safety Health Administration have also done their own internal probe into the incident.
