Emergency Repairs At Caroni Water Treatment Plant

Emergency repair works are expected to be completed by 2:00 p.m. today following a problem that occurred at the Raw Water Electrical Control Station of the Caroni Water Treatment Plant.

The Water and Sewerage Authority says the situation has resulted in customers in parts of North, Central and South Trinidad, presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply.

The affected areas include: North Trinidad served by Valsayn Booster Stations A & B: Champ Fleurs, Mt. Hope, Santa Cruz, Saddle Road, San Juan, Malick, Laventille Road, Febeau Village, Laventille North Trinidad served by El Socorro Booster Station:

WASA says it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following completion of these repairs.

A limited truck borne service will be available upon request.
