Thursday May 13th has officially been declared as the date of the public holiday in celebration of the Islamic festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Office of the Prime Minister made the announcement in a media release this afternoon.
The OPM said it was in accordance with section 3(1) of the Public Holidays and Festivals Act, Chapter 19:05.
