Early morning Belmont shooting leaves 3 men hospitalised

A shooting in Belmont early Friday morning has left three men nursing gunshot wounds.

Police said the trio, ages 20, 21 and 26 were travelling in a grey Nissan AD Wagon, on the St Francois Valley Road, near Brathwaite Street, around 3 am when they saw a group of men with rifles standing in the street.

The gunmen shot at the car, hitting the three men.

Belmont police were called in and took the men to hospital where they remain warded.
