A car accident in Wallerfield on Monday night has left a 27-year-old man warded in a serious condition at hospital.
Reports state that at around 10pm, the man was driving a Nissan B13 along the Cumuto Road from Wallerfield when he hit a ten-wheeler dump truck from behind.
Fire officers used the “jaws of life” to cut open the vehicle to retrieve the driver who was trapped inside.
He was then taken to the Arima Health Facility before being transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for observation.
Investigations are continuing.
