Defending Champs, Australia, To Take On South Africa In T20 Women’s World Cup Finals

Defending T20 Women’s World Cup Champions, Australia, will play against host South Africa in the tournament’s final in Cape Town on Sunday.

South Africa defeated England in the second semi-final on Friday by six runs.

In the first semi-final on Thursday, Australia beat India by five runs.

Batting first today, Player of the Match, Tazmin Brits, top scored with 68 runs and Laura Wolvaardt contributed 53 to help guide South Africa to 164 for 4 off their 20 overs.

Bowling for England, Sophie Ecclestone, took three wickets for 22 runs from four overs.

In reply South Africa restricted England for 158 for 8 off 20 overs.

Ayabonga Khaka was the main wicket taker with figures of 4 for 29 from 4 overs.

Shabnim Ismail provided support with 3 for 27 from 4 overs.
