A Unipet Gas station outlet in Cumuto was robbed on Thursday night, but unfortunately for the two bandits, they were only able to make off with a bag of trash and not cash.
The two masked men, one with a firearm, entered the gas station on Cumuto Main Road around 7:48pm and announced a holdup.
They forced the security guard to lie on the floor, then snatched the bag they assumed was cash from the cashier’s hands and ran.
Police were told, however, that the bag was the garbage that was being taken out.
