Cross Crossing shooting; man kills bystander, ex-wife then himself

A shooting at the Cross Crossing Shopping Centre on Monday has left an innocent bystander dead and a woman – the main target, injured.

The deceased was identified as 24-year-old Rosario Danny Ramdhan of Springvale, Claxton Bay while the injured woman is Anissa Rajgobin-Ageemoolar.

Around 10:50am, Ramdhan, Rajgobin-Ageemoolar and another man identified only as Kenton reportedly went to General Accident Insurance to do business.

Ramdhan and Kenton then returned to his white Tiida and left the woman inside.

Shortly after, Sharaz Ageemoolar, who was armed with a gun, entered the insurance agency and shot the woman before running out.

The suspect then accosted Kenton and attempted to drag him out of the Tiida.

A struggle ensued, during which the gunman fired a shot hitting Ramdhan who was seated in the front passenger seat.

Ramdhan jumped out of the car and tried to run up the street when he collapsed a short distance away and died at the scene.

Kenton ran for his life and alerted the police as the gunman drove off with his vehicle.

Rajgobin-Ageemoolar sustained a gunshot injury to the chest and was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital where she remains warded.

Last night, Sharaz was found dead at Arjoonsingh Drive, La Romain. He apparently committed suicide in the same car he stole.

The couple has two sons together, both in their 20s.
