Trinis in Florida have had varying stories on their experiences as Hurricane Ian touched down.
Trini celebs Nikki Crosby and Nadia Batson who are both in the country have spoken on their experiences.
Yesterday Crosby said that they were buckled down and awaiting the Hurricane.
She said they were safe and praying that things did not get too crazy.
Meanwhile, Batson – who is in Kissimmee Florida – posted to her social media account that they were safe indoors and experiencing the effects of the Hurricane.
She said that fortunately they were not experiencing the kind of devastation that she had seen on the media.
She revealed that so far they had experienced some strong winds and rain.
However she said that they were expecting more impactful weather early tomorrow morning.
Ian has weakened into a tropical storm after making landfall along the southwestern coast of Florida near Cayo Costa as a powerful Category 4 hurricane Wednesday.
It’s tied for the strongest hurricane to make landfall on the west coast of the Florida peninsula.
