A man known in his community as “Crash” was shot dead in Laventille on Tuesday night.
The victim, whose real name is Kerwin Ashton of East Dry River, Laventille, was found lying on the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.
Residents of La Resource Road in the vicinity of Fromager Street, Laventille, told police they heard a series of loud explosions around 8:10pm.
On checking, they found Ashton on the roadway.
The police were notified and a team of officers led by Superintendent Nanoo responded.
The body was ordered removed from the scene by a District Medical Officer.
